Postural limb abnormality: an unusual presentation of retroperitoneal Schwannoma

Schwannoma is a tumor of soft tissue originating from Schwann cells that rarely appears in the retroperitoneum. Presentation depends on site disease leading to mostly pressure symptoms, sometimes with distal manifestations. Because its complex location, it has varied presentations and always diagnostic dilemma. We reported rare case retroperitoneal schwannoma having mild difficulty walking due flexion deformity left hip joint as only initial presenting symptoms. Following imaging studies, mass was found. Partial excision performed, histology finding consistent schwannoma. Patient followed up for last 2 years had no evidence recurrence.
